Modules 1 & 2 with PC & 17" LCD Monitor.
In Module 1, Students will investigate auto safety systems and how they protect passengers from injury during auto crashes. They will role play the part of engineers while they design and test their own safety systems and attempt to protect egg passengers from injury during crash simulations.
Learning Activities Include:
- Explaining, using physics & the laws of motion, what occurs inside a vehicle during a crash
- Identifying auto safety systems
- Designing and modeling an auto crash safety systems, applying what they have learned about the science of auto crashes
Module 1 contents include: KELVIN© Krasher,  Car Bases, DesignGrid Cardstock, Balloons, Bubble wrap,  cc Syringes & Plastic tubing.
In Module 2, students will use sensors to gather data about the crash impact and interpret computer produced graphs.
Module 2 contents include: Crasher Vehicle, Computer Interface, Software, Kel-Timer Jr. and Sensor Holders.
