As students learn to design, shape, construct and finish their bobsled model, they will also be developing their skills with hand and power tools. In achieving the best design for their vehicle, students will have to take into account physics principles such as friction, mass, gravity, and acceleration. Factors such as the time/speed it takes the vehicle to travel, and which design performs the best, are crucial criteria in this challenge.
