The objective of this experiment is to introduce students to the concept of distribution of organisms in a resource gradient and to learn the difference between kinesis and taxis. Experiment includes: complete instructions, background information and study questions, Pillbugs or Sowbugs (depending upon availability), Drosophila Wild Type, Petri Plates, EDVOTEK BugOut(tm) Solution, Culture Tubes, Foam Lids, EDVOTEK Instant Drosophila, and Growth Media.
