Design the Interior, Exterior & Landscape of
a Model House
Before a product is produced or a structure built, it must first go through
the design process. First you start with a concept, then create thumbnail sketches,
working drawings, final drawings, and prototypes to be evaluated. This start-up
package features two equally important drafting techniques; manual drafting
and computer-aided drafting. KELVIN© Kubes™, three-dimensional (3D) aluminum models, are used by
students to draft 3D drawings. Computer-aided drafting (C.A.D.) software can be used by students to
begin experimenting with computer-aided drawing and advanced 2D drawings. As
students progress, they will explore C.A.D. using architectural software. Hands-on activities include designing
the interior, exterior and landscape of their dream house. Advanced students
can design more elaborate houses. Grades 7-College. Can
only be sold to schools in the United States.
